North Channel Publishing is committed to creating a website and digital experience that can be used and enjoyed by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

Our work is built around helping people discover, explore, and connect with place. We believe access to those stories should extend to the way they are presented online as well.

As the website and North Channel Discoveries continue to develop, our accessibility efforts may include:

  • Reviewing the site through Wix accessibility tools as part of ongoing website maintenance

 

North Channel Discoveries and Downloadable Materials

North Channel Discoveries may include digital content, photographs, historical materials, maps, field guides, downloadable PDFs, audio, and other educational resources.

We are working to make these materials increasingly accessible as the publishing library grows.

Some historical documents, archival images, maps, handwritten materials, or third-party resources may present accessibility limitations because of their original format or because they are provided by outside organizations.

When practical, North Channel will work to provide context, descriptions, transcripts, alternative formats, or other supporting information.

Third-Party Content

Our website may include links, embedded tools, payment services, maps, videos, archives, or other content provided by third parties.

Although we strive to work with services that support accessibility, North Channel does not control the accessibility of third-party websites or platforms.

North Channel’s website, Discoveries, products, and digital resources will continue to evolve, and we intend to review accessibility as part of that development.
